It took all the cousins working together to get Peter pulled off the couch! Jonster was happy to help!

I have finally been able to get to the first set of reunion pictures.
We had a marvelous time in Laguna Beach at Uncle Jon's beach house! The weather was perfect, and the company was great. Jon kept busy the entire time. He loved the beach, and playing with his cousins.
Jon found a zebra foot stool to play with at the main house up the hill.

Jon decided to take a picture with his camera.
This is Aunt Fran's mom.
As we were walking, taking pictures, a man was nice enough to offer to take one of all of us together. We had just finished walking through the tide pools on the other side of the arch.

Jon had great fun playing with Cousin Rachel on the beach. In fact, even now, he brags that he went to see Cousin Rachel!

Laguna Beach has a free trolley that goes into town. Jon thought this was pretty cool!

The Andersen brothers. (Well, 3 out of 4 anyway.)

Jon thought the waves were the greatest thing ever!
He didn't even mind his face getting splashed!

I love this shot. They are a lot farther out than it may look. Jon has no idea how hard Daddy has to work just to stay upright!

After all that splashing, it was time to dry off with a nap.
They both needed one!

Rachel being silly in New Port.

We went to Balboa Island, and found this tiny playground that all of the kids just had a blast on! They all started teaching Jon how to play tag!

We took a sailboat trip around the harbor.

It's kind of hard to see them, but those are seals laying down over there.

Jon helping Daddy with the sails.

Charlie taking a kayak down to the beach. That's Jon's beach house behind them. It's the oldest house in Laguna.

This picture is one of my favorites. That is Jon as he heads out for the kayak trip.
Charlie, Jon, David & Li all went out for a morning kayak trip. It was only supposed to be a quick 30min- an hour trip. They all came back 3 hours later! Charlie took me out kayaking the next morning. It was so much fun! Charlie & I even got to see some dolphins playing in the waves about 10 feet away from us! We just sat there in awe!

This picture was taken on a walk while Daddy was out kayaking.
Jon had found a huge pile of sea grass. We got silly, and put it all over Jonster!

So, this is what paradise looks like!

Daddy had just sung a birdie song that got Jon cracking up.

Uncle Jon has a beautiful Corvette, and he took Jonster for a ride! I was amazed that his little travel car seat actually fit!

You can barely even see the top of Jon's head! But, he got quite a ride! Uncle Jon stepped on the gas, and Jonster was squealing with laughter!

Jon had his first round of swim lessons! He decided that this is just one more thing to love about the YMCA!
Jon is the one under water. The first thing they did each day was to dunk the kids, to get them used to holding their breath.
Learning to kick with the barbell.

They were being taught to climb out of the pool. "Elbow - elbow - tummy - knee"

Each lesson ended with a trip down the slide. This was the first time Jon had ever gone down a pool slide.
If you look closely at Jon face, you can see the look of pure terror on his face!

He recovered quickly, however! In fact, when Daddy came home that night, Jon ran up to him to announce "I got down the slide!"
He looked forward to that trip down the slide every day. the very last swim lesson, he landed a little bit closer to the slide, and the instructor didn't catch him right away. This meant that Jon went down pretty far. We were expected a freaked out kid to pop up. Instead, he came up laughing his little head off! Also, the last lesson had a substitute instructor. She & Jon hit it off instantly! Afterwards, I got her name, and asked if she gave private lessons. Turns out, she's one of the private instructors there. All I have to do is give her name at the front desk! As much as Jon learned during those 2 weeks, it was sometimes hard for him to stay focused. There were about 8 kids in the class, so Jon was able to goof off without always being noticed. I think that he'd get more out of private lessons.
