Jon's first day of 1st grade!!!

I took Jon to meet the bus. He was so excited to be getting on the bus again!
I was surprised that he looked back at me. Even more surprised that I managed to get a picture of it!
Jon had been looking forwards to wearing his new Buster Brown hiking boots since we bought them. He knew that they were for school, and has been reminding us of this at least once a day. (Right down to pointing out that they are Buster Browns!)
This morning, I find him walking around the house in his pj's, those new boots, and a big smile! I asked him where the rest of his clothes were, and we quickly got properly dressed.


Yesterday morning, I found this cute sight! That's a birthday present all by itself!

Jon was watching Daddy exercise one morning, and decided to give it a try. Ever since then, Jon will periodically announce that it's time to exercise, and go "work out" on the Total Gym!

Jon wanted to take Daddy roller skating. So, off we went!

When Jon was done skating, he went to play on the games. Daddy decided to help him play for real. (Usually Jon just pretends to play.)

I do have some really cool news to tell everyone about, though.

I will be starting a new job next week. I will be working for LifeTouch Preschool Photography! They will be training me to go to day cares & preschools in the Houston area to do portraits. This is my dream job! I love kids & taking pictures. This way, I get both in the same job! It even pays much better than where I'm at now!

Jon will be going to the same day care we're at now. He'll be able to take the bus to school from there. Most days, he'll only be there in the morning. At least, that's what we're thinking now. Even if he has to go both before & after school, I'll still be making way more than I am now.

Well, I have a rather cranky Jonster to go comfort. He's had a long day. I'll try to post pictures tomorrow.
