After the family reunion, we went with Grandma & Papa to San Francisco. It made us realise just how much we miss it there! Jon had loads of fun, and got to ride in a real cable car!

Looking at an old fire truck. This one is actually used for tours. Jon still thought it was pretty cool!
Chasing birds at Boudin's Bakery.

Watching the cable car turn around.

Keeping Jon busy while waiting in line. Grandma & Papa had him pretending to be a bull.

Going up the hill in the cable car.

Leaning out to get a good look.

Turning the cable car around. As anyone can imagine, Jon is in love with cable cars now!

Out on the town! This just seemed like the San Francisco I remember!

Going down Lombardi.
That's a lot of seals! The noise level is incredible.
You can barely make out the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.

This is a short video clip from breakfast. It was too cute, watching them get up & start dancing!

Just a quick post to show off Jon's re-done room. We decided to get rid of the old dresser and boxes. They were getting close to 30 years old! We went to Ikea last Sunday to look for a dresser and some storage stuff. The walls were already done when we moved in. It's the only room that we will not repaint.

The new dresser, plus a small bookshelf that was in the den. I added Jon's folding couch to create a small reading area.
The bed was purchased at Ikea at the beginning of the year with Christmas money. The 2 storage units are also from Ikea. Come to think of it, so's the rug!
Jon is loving his "new" room! He has found toys that were forgotten, and sent each of them down the slide! Then, he even has a place to put them back! Yeah!

I had just finished the last post, when I realized that there were several great pictures missed.

It took all the cousins working together to get Peter pulled off the couch! Jonster was happy to help!

Gavin at the helm, with Uncle Jon keeping watch. Fran's sister Sandra, and her husband Gavin.

Uncle Jon & Grandma enjoy the trip on the sailboat. Jonster was just plain tuckered out!

This is another favorite photo of mine.

I have finally been able to get to the first set of reunion pictures.

We had a marvelous time in Laguna Beach at Uncle Jon's beach house! The weather was perfect, and the company was great. Jon kept busy the entire time. He loved the beach, and playing with his cousins. Jon found a zebra foot stool to play with at the main house up the hill.

Jon decided to take a picture with his camera.
This is Aunt Fran's mom.

As we were walking, taking pictures, a man was nice enough to offer to take one of all of us together. We had just finished walking through the tide pools on the other side of the arch.

Jon had great fun playing with Cousin Rachel on the beach. In fact, even now, he brags that he went to see Cousin Rachel!

Laguna Beach has a free trolley that goes into town. Jon thought this was pretty cool!

The Andersen brothers. (Well, 3 out of 4 anyway.)

Jon thought the waves were the greatest thing ever!

He didn't even mind his face getting splashed!

I love this shot. They are a lot farther out than it may look. Jon has no idea how hard Daddy has to work just to stay upright!

After all that splashing, it was time to dry off with a nap. They both needed one!

Rachel being silly in New Port.

We went to Balboa Island, and found this tiny playground that all of the kids just had a blast on! They all started teaching Jon how to play tag!

We took a sailboat trip around the harbor.

It's kind of hard to see them, but those are seals laying down over there.

Jon helping Daddy with the sails.

Charlie taking a kayak down to the beach. That's Jon's beach house behind them. It's the oldest house in Laguna.

This picture is one of my favorites. That is Jon as he heads out for the kayak trip.

Charlie, Jon, David & Li all went out for a morning kayak trip. It was only supposed to be a quick 30min- an hour trip. They all came back 3 hours later! Charlie took me out kayaking the next morning. It was so much fun! Charlie & I even got to see some dolphins playing in the waves about 10 feet away from us! We just sat there in awe!

This picture was taken on a walk while Daddy was out kayaking.

Jon had found a huge pile of sea grass. We got silly, and put it all over Jonster!

So, this is what paradise looks like!

Daddy had just sung a birdie song that got Jon cracking up.

Uncle Jon has a beautiful Corvette, and he took Jonster for a ride! I was amazed that his little travel car seat actually fit!

You can barely even see the top of Jon's head! But, he got quite a ride! Uncle Jon stepped on the gas, and Jonster was squealing with laughter!

A really cool tree that Grandpa Jon took us to see at a park in Laguna.

Jonster & Cousin Rachel playing at the beach house.

We went to a different beach, that had better waves for surfing. I didn't go surfing, but boogie boarding was loads of fun. That night, we sat around a big fire.

The last night there, Cousin Peter was playing cars with Jonster. This was such a special moment for Jonster.
Peter then taught Jonster to spin quarters!
