We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Charlie & I worked together to make a yummy dinner for the three of us. Afterwards, we all went for a walk. Then, came back home hungry for homemade pumpkin pie! It was a wonderful way to spend the day!

What a good helper! Daddy just couldn't get his excercise without Jon's help!
During our after-dinner walk, Jon just had to bring his car. Going down driveways is tons of fun! It does make the walk much slower, though!
Someone got caught playing with the light switches!

Jon found Daddy's boots in the garage. He thought it was great fun to walk around the yard in them!

We took Jon to go see Santa today! He was so excited! When it was his turn, Jon went running up to Santa! After, Jon was giggling about it half way through the mall! After visiting Santa, and having Chick-fil-A for lunch, Jon wanted to go to the play area.

Running over for a hug! He was pretty proud of himself for a really big jump!Gotta have monkey toes to get up the tent! There's even a fort to climb on!

When Jon was done in the play area, he decided that it was time to check out the toy store. (Conveniently across the way!) He was a very good boy, and didn't make any messes in the store! Although he made it very clear that he didn't want to leave, there were no temper tantrums over it! On the way home, Jon was so tuckered out, that he fell asleep!
Thanksgiving week at Kathy's Kiddie Corner! Jon had fun not having to go to school! It was a much needed break! Climbing on top of the barrels!
Jon has fun playing with his friend Henry!
Jon has discovered what fun it is to rock the boat!
Just this last week, Jon started playing more & more! Even on the side that he usually just rides the trike! All of a sudden, he's climbing into the boat, crawling through the barrels, and even climbing on top of the barrels! And, the other kids aren't even telling him to do this! Wow!

Last weekend, we all went to Brazos State Park. It's known for having alligators, as well as being very pretty. Obviously, with all that water, it's not a place to go during summertime! It was a chilly day, so there were no mosquitos! There were several lakes to walk around, plus a few non-alligator walking paths. We decided to go around one of the lakes. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon!

If you look really closely, you can see the ladybug on Jon's finger! Jon thought that was pretty cool! He loves most bugs, but especially ladybugs!

Thank goodness for zoom lenses on cameras! I wouldn't want to get too close to this guy! Although, we were pretty darn close! The park has decks that stick out over the lakes so that people can safely watch the alligators. I've heard that they sometimes makes their way onto the walking paths! You have to just go back the way you came! We kept Lady on a very short leash during the walk around the lake! (Jon too!)
I'm not sure who was walking whom, but they both are loving it!
Jon got these tops spinning all by himself! He's gotten really good at it! He started practicing when Grandma & Papa were in town. About a week after they had left, he was even able to get the little one going!
We had so much fun at the Renaisance Festival! There was much to do, and all day to do it! It was fun to see all the characters. Jon still gets excited when he sees pictures of the elephant ride!

Mommy loved throwing that stick up in the air!

Petting a baby dragon!

On guard!

Look at my magic Fairy Rock!
Here's some more pictures from the week that Grandma & Papa were here! The one's at the daycare were taken by one of his teachers.

Dancing at the daycare.
That's a hungry zebra!
It's even more fun with Grandma!

Mommy's sweater is yummy!

These are some of the pictures from our trip to Galveston. What a wonderful way to start off our visit with grandma & Papa! Jon decided this time that the surf wasn't so bad after all, and went for long walks!
Wave hopping!

Learning the best ways to play in the mud!
Jon's rinsing his hands didn't faze this bird!

I just had to start out with this shot! One of our boys decided to try climbing into an excersaucer, and fell in! This is one of my favorite pictures!
Charlie, Jon & I love going on bicycle rides on the weekends now that the temp is dropping! Jon gets all excited, and climbs right into his trailer! If we don't offer, Jon will come up to one or both of us & say "let's go on a bike ride!) These are pictures from 2 weekends ago.

You'd think that this would be a super fast slide. It's not! Jon's shoes kind of kept him from going very fast! As you can see, he loved it anyway!

Those are some steep stairs to climb! Jon loves being pushed on the swing! He doesn't yet know how to pump with his legs, but we're working on it!

Jon decides that this is the perfect time to play with the car that he brought along for the ride!

Ready to roll!
Of course, we weren't quite ready to head back home after this stop! We ended up in a different park a few miles away after this! By the time we got, we had been about 16 miles! It's not non-stop, since we have to let Jon get out to stretch, play, & potty every once in a while! Plus, we always have a few snacks stashed in the trailer!

Jon's class made a bus snack! They were all proud of their works of art!

Monkey boy at work! Slinging beads! Who knew beads could be so much fun?!?
Jon's turn at being Leader of the day! He was so proud!

New things to love! Yes, that's a pumpkin! What you don't see is Jon's new green chair next to him!

This has been an interesting week!

Jon was sick with a virus last week, but is feeling much better now. Unfortunately, he couldn't get a flu shot until the fever was gone. He got his on Tuesday. It's a good thing he got it then. It turns out that pediatric flu shots are in short supply. Only those that are high risk can get one. Since Jon has had so many problems with pnumonia, he was on the short list.

His appetite is back too! Yesterday, he ate 2 big plates of mac & cheese at the day care before going to the school, where it was chicken nugget day!

Charlie has been sick this week. Don't really know what it is, other than it's a nasty virus. (Different than Jon's, based on completely different symptoms.) He's starting to feel better, though.

Good thing too. He is going to be with Jon this weekend, while I jet off to Phoenix for Robert's graduation! They are both looking forwards to some fun Daddy/son time together!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
