By the way, you will sometimes see people driving their art cars around town thoughout the year! Not the totally outrageous ones, but the painted cars. Somehow, we have yet to see the zebra car driving around!

This last Saturday, we took Jon to the annual Art Car Parade. Jon was in heaven! So many silly cars! There are a lot of pictures on this post, and very few with Jon. Some of the cars are funny, and some are jaw-dropping. And to think, I only got pictures of a few of them! Before the parade, we got to walk by the cars, take pictures, and talk to the artists. That was everyone's favorite part. It just got too darn hot by the time the parade actually started, so we ended leaving. There was one car that we didn't see up close, but got a shot as we were heading out. That would be the zebra car.

Try to zoom in to read some of the stuff on his truck!
Read before moving on to the next one.

This one is gaudy as all get-out, but it's incredible how it's made with Mardi Gras beads!

This was one of Jon's favorites. Probably because it looks like a normal car! Plus, he was cracking up over the bouncing. Now, he looks at this picture, and says "he was driving like that!"

This was one of several wooden cars by the same artist, however this one photographed the best.
