Knowing that we will be going to 2 different family reunions this August, and not wanting to lug the car seat around, we decided that it was finally time to get a travel car seat. I had seen one in a catalog a few years ago, and had been looking at it periodically ever since. Well, it arrived Friday night, and it was love at first sight! Jon didn't want to wait to try it out! So, that was our excuse to go get Jon some Chick-fil-A chicken. In Daddy's car, of course! And, by the way, this is the coolest car seat ever! Why did we wait so long?!?
Jon had been asking me for peaches lately. Since the stores have no yummy peaches, we started looking for fruit stands. What we found was a peach farm, where you go out and pick the fruit! When we told Jon that he was going to pick his own peaches, he so excited! The moment he saw the orchard, there were peals of laughter from the back seat.
A lot of the peaches were with in Jon's reach.

At first, we tried to get Jon to wait until after we had paid for them and washed them, but he wanted one so bad! By the time we had gotten home with our 30 pounds of peaches, Jon had eaten 3 of them! A week later, we are down to the last of the bunch, and hardly lost any!

Jon found this old sand container that used to be part of the sand & water toy we got him a couple of years ago. He wanted to put water in it to splash around. Should have known that he would just climb right in! I know it's probably not the safest thing in the world, but so far it seems to be very stable.
There was "no time" to go get his swim trunks. Underwear works just fine!

Jon thought that maybe the plants needed a good watering!

Monday night, Jon decided that he wanted to sit on the floor, strapped into his new car seat. He sat there, playing with cars for a long time. Then, Jon figured out that he can walk around the house with the car seat on. The next thing I know, he's on the computer, playing a game! That night, Jon fell asleep wearing his new seat! (I know, that's just a wee bit strange, but kids have been known to do weirder things than that!)
