For Easter weekend, we took our new trailer to Galveston Island State Park.
While waiting for our camp site to empty, we played on the beach.
Just a few minutes of chillin' with Daddy, before heading back out to play.
Jon rode that bike all over the beach!
Sometimes, he'd forget to take the helmet off before running out into the water!
He didn't seem to mind!
Mommy got the helmet off for him.
Watching Jon play.
After all that playing, Jon falls asleep with Daddy. It started getting windy, so we headed back to camp. Jon was still asleep, so we pulled out something for him to lay down on. He had to be woken up for dinner.
He didn't really wake up, though! Yup. He's eating while mostly asleep!
After dinner, we got Jon to wake up with an evening stroll. When we got back, it was dark enough to try out the lights. Jon thought they were pretty cool!
Daddy & Jon had a blast out there!

Writing in the sand.
It's hard to see, but Jon wrote "Jonster". He was so proud!

Daddy found a barnacle that would stick it's mouth out once in a while. After looking at it for a little bit, it went back into the water.

We found a cool looking lady bug. Jon thought it was fun to have it crawl on his hand.
Here's our camp during daylight.

Jon managed to really get the hammock swinging!
We went for a walk in another part of the state park. This was going up to an observation tower.

I followed this bee to get just the right shot!
I came upon this sweet scene after taking pictures of the flowers. The splash in the background is a bird diving for a fish. The two of them were talking about the bird at that same moment!
Easter morning arrived, and it was just too cold and windy to hunt for eggs at the beach. Jon didn't mind. He looked all around the camp site for eggs!

Next month, we will be heading to a state park in Austin!

Oh, these are precious! I especially like the picture of Jon and Daddy looking at the lake, the bird diving, and their backs to us. A true picture of togetherness.
That bike goes everywhere doesn't it?
Keep the pictures coming!
XOXO
